Navigating life, relationships and our bodies can be quite the challenge…

We all desire happiness, health, and success, but often find ourselves trapped in limiting patterns and with a lack of resources.

You might recognize wanting to change something in your life, having a clear view and then ‘sabotaging’ yourself away from creating what you want. You might recognize yourself in always trying to stay in control by overthinking and being perfect, pushing past your limits even when your body says stop, feeling disconnected from yourself, holding back who you really are because you’re afraid of how people will react, or putting others first so much that you forget your own needs.

We all have parts that can take over the ‘driver’s seat’, creating difficulty for us, and we tend to shame, reject and hide them to feel more at ease and to be more likeable. Unfortunately this strategy doesn’t last and often creates more difficulty in our lives.

What if you could get to know these parts on a deeper level, discovering what they do for you, and find a way to relate to them?

This is where Internal Family Systems (IFS) comes in; a unique approach to healing.
In IFS we view the mind as made up of multiple ‘parts’, each with its own perspectives, emotions, and roles, rather than having a single mind. For example, you might wake up in the morning with one part wanting to stay in bed and another part pushing you to get up so you don’t get in trouble at work.
At the core of IFS is the belief that every person has a Self—a calm, compassionate, and wise inner center—and that all parts, even the ones causing distress, have positive intentions and protective roles.

IFS in a nutshell:

  • All parts are valuable: Every part serves a purpose and has a good intention, even if its actions have negative consequences.

  • The Self is the leader: The Self is inherently capable of healing and guiding the system.

  • No bad parts: Instead of rejecting or fighting parts, IFS focuses on understanding and unburdening them.

  • Healing through compassion: When parts feel heard, understood, and safe, they naturally transform and release extreme roles.

  • Inner harmony is possible: Integration and cooperation among parts create inner peace, resilience, and authentic living.

Your personal IFS journey

Step 1: Setting intention.

Step 2: Creating awareness of your inner world.

Step 3: Relating to your inner world.

Step 4: Healing, Transformational growth & Self-Leadership

We start our work together with setting your intention. What challenges are you currently facing? What thoughts, feelings, behaviours would you like to understand? What do you desire in your life?

Your IFS journey starts with becoming aware of your internal world. We will practice noticing and stepping back, rather than ‘blending’ and seeing the parts of you as your entire identity. From this place we will start to shift from ‘I am anxious’, to ‘A part of me is anxious’. This is a skill that we will learn together, at your pace, within your capacity.

Now that we’ve identified your parts, the next step is to nurture your connection with them. Through gentle, guided dialogue, you’ll discover that each part has its own unique personality and perspective— and that every one of them has positive intentions, trying to keep you safe. Through befriending each part, we give them the experience of being seen, heard and appreciated.
You may also begin to notice how your parts relate to each other—forming alliances or getting into conflict. From this place, you’ll learn to step into leadership, helping your internal system find balance and cooperation.

By becoming a compassionate and trusting witness to your inner system, your parts can begin to be ‘unburdened’—freed from their rigid, protective roles and invited to take on new, more supportive roles, like an inner advisor or cheerleader that helps you lead. Remember, the goal isn’t to fix or eliminate any parts, but to help them return to their natural, positive states.

As your parts grow to trust you, you can fully step into Self-Leadership—bringing harmony and balance to your inner system and creating space for new possibilities in your life. You are now in the driver’s seat and get to create the life you want!

“During our first session you made me feel so held and seen in my emotions and being. Our interaction was organic and without pressure, which allowed me to be vulnerable with you, and released my performative behavior in interaction. The sessions helped me realizing how my body, mind, and soul have protected me through out the last years. With your guidance I was able to get in touch with these systems, and showed me a way of starting a process of releasing them.”
